Mark Engstrom, President
Mark grew up on the west side of the state in the small town of Whitehall, and began mowing lawns for neighbors at the age of 10. After graduating from high school, Mark attended Alpena Community College and received an associate degree in Fisheries. While continuing to work summers for a landscaper in Whitehall, Mark transferred to Michigan State University and received a degree in Environmental Education and double minored in Physical and General Science. While teaching at a local junior high, Mark was introduced to Wells Lawn care by a friend. Mark realized how much he enjoyed the landscape industry and started working there, full time, where he quickly moved from employee, to manager, and then owner.
In 1993 the company name was changed to LandMark. As President of LandMark Landscape, Mark interacts very closely with his employees and clients on a daily basis. He loves the fact that he has more of an outdoor office than an indoor office. His overall goal for LandMark is to make sure the company is run efficiently and the client’s needs are fully met.
Beth Dudash, Vice-President
Beth’s interest in the landscape industry started while attending Michigan State University. During one summer she had the opportunity to work in the 4-H Children’s Gardens doing maintenance and realized how much the industry had to offer. During the next fall semester, she declared her major in Horticulture, Design and Build, and graduated from Michigan State in 1999. While at Michigan State she met lifelong friends and had endless opportunities, one of which led her to LandMark.
At LandMark, Beth does the landscape designs, estimating and sales. Her ultimate goal is to help people compliment their home so they can get a return on their investment. She enjoys the challenge of creating a low maintenance landscape that has interest for all seasons, but yet is unique to each of her client’s needs.
